Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 vs Snapdragon 660: Which Is the… Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 took the mobile world by storm with its debut in 2017.Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 vs 660 Comparison: How Different Are… If you look at the popular mid-range smartphones, you'd see a bulk of them powered by Qualcomm's 600-series processors.Designed to be the new face of Qualcomm's 600-series, this… Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 vs 625: How Much of an Upgrade is… Last year, Qualcomm announced the launch of the Snapdragon 636, the new mid-range mobile platform.Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 vs Snapdragon 636: What Are the… It has been almost a year since the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 was officially announced - the first 400-series phone chipset to sport the 14nm manufacturing….So, if you are already in a smartphone powered by a 600-series processor (baring the Snapdragon 660), the ideal choice would be a Snapdragon 636-powered phone. In a nutshell, we can say that the Snapdragon 632 is a lighter version (or underclocked) version of the Snapdragon 636. There are small differences between the two and they make a significant impact on the overall performance - such as the use of an older GPU, LPDDR3 RAM in the Snapdragon 632. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 almost seems to be at par with the Snapdragon 636 when it comes to the benchmark scores, with marginal differences in individual CPU and GPU scores. However, real-life performance is much different since most phone manufacturers do not include the latest charging techniques and other implementations. Overall, the specs of both chips look great on paper. Qualcomm claims that with QC 4.0, you can get five hours worth of battery life by charging for five mins. Naturally, you’ll get faster charging speeds with QC 4.0. When it comes to fast charging technology, the Snapdragon 636 supports the newer Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0, and the newer Snapdragon 632 equips Quick Charge 3.0 support. Quite naturally, the Snapdragon 636 has a slightly better LTE modem (X12 LTE modem) with download speed up to 600Mbps. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 comes with the X9 LTE modem with maximum download speed up to 300Mbps. We will update the post with images from a Snapdragon 632-powered phone as soon we get our hands one one. Hence, it doesn’t take much to decipher which of these two will produce better results. Captured on ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1Īt the same time, the newer Snapdragon 632 comes with the Hexagon 546 DSP and a standard dual ISP. The 636 comes equipped with Qualcomm Hexagon 680 DSP (designed to support higher camera performance) and Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP (for active depth mapping). The Snapdragon 636 houses a better and upgraded Image Signal Processor (ISP) and Digital Signal Processor (DSP). However, those are not the only differences between the two. The Snapdragon 632 can support a dual camera setup up to 13-megapixel and a 24-megapixel single camera on the front fascia. Propertyīoth the chipsets sport almost similar specs when it comes to the camera. And well, the numbers speak for themselves. We pitted two phones powered by the Snapdragon 632 and the Snapdragon 636 respectively, and following are the results in terms of benchmark scores. This difference would eventually come into play during serious high-res gaming. The Adreno 509 GPU is said to provide a 10% boost when compared to its predecessor, the Adreno 508 GPU. Instead of being clocked at 2.2 GHz, the Snapdragon 632 runs at 1.8 GHz clock speed. Though both chips use the same combination of Cortex A73 performance cores and Cortex A53 cores, they have different CPU clock frequency. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 632 bundles Kryo 250 processing cores. The combination of the performance cores and efficiency cores in the Kryo architecture is responsible for better performance, low latency, and improved task-sharing capabilities. The highlight of this processor is its 14nm process node and the Kryo 260 processing cores. The Snapdragon 636 is often considered the second highest performing SoC in the 600-series, right after the Snapdragon 660. Hardware Token, Qualcomm Processor Security, Application Security, Smart Camera Qualcomm Processor Security, Qualcomm Content Security Specifications That Matter Propertyĭual ISPs support up to 24 and 13+13 MP dual cameraĭual Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP up to 24MP and 16MP So, now this brings us to an important question? What’s the difference between these Snapdragon 630 successors? If you can recollect, the Snapdragon 636 made a debut as the successor to the Snapdragon 630.

Ivor delivers Coal to Grumbly Gasworks, tomatoes to Mr Davy and Fish to Mrs Thomas. We see a typical day in the life of Ivor the Engine. When the colour series was subsequently released on DVD, some of the episodes whose content linked, were edited together, with the relevant closing and opening titles and credits removed. In October 2010, however, film copies of all 26 episodes were discovered in a pig shed. These would often each form part of a longer story.Īlthough the six original black and white episodes were subsequently released on video, the two longer black and white series (totaling 26 episodes) were not and for many years were thought to have been lost. The colour series consisted of 40 five-minute films. In the 1970s, the two longer black and white series were re-made in colour, with some alterations to the stories, but they did not revisit the original six. Black and white episodes were 10 minutes each. There then followed two thirteen-episode series, also in black and white. The original series was in black and white and comprised six episodes which told how Ivor wanted to sing in the choir, and how his whistle was replaced with steam organ pipes from the fairground organ on Mr Morgan's roundabout. Anthony Jackson provided the voices for Dai Station, Evans the Song and Mr Dinwiddy. Voices were performed by Oliver Postgate, Anthony Jackson and Olwen Griffiths. The music was composed by Vernon Elliott and predominantly featured a solo bassoon, to reflect the three notes of Ivor's whistle. The sound effects were endearingly low-tech, with the sound of Ivor's puffing made vocally by Postgate himself. The series was written, animated and narrated by Oliver Postgate. The series was originally made for black and white television by Smallfilms for Associated Rediffusion in 1958, but was later revived in 1975 when new episodes in colour were produced for the BBC. Ivor the Engine used stop motion animation, of cardboard cut-outs painted with watercolours. The story lines drew heavily on, and were influenced by, the works of South Wales poet Dylan Thomas. Postgate decided to locate the story to North Wales, as it was more inspirational than the flat terrain of the English Midlands. Ivor the Engine was Smallfilms' first production, and drew inspiration from Postgate's World War II encounter with Welshman Denzyl Ellis, a former railway locomotive fireman with the Royal Scot train, who described how steam engines came to life when you spent time steaming them up in the morning. Having produced the live Alexander the Mouse, and the stop motion animated The Journey of Master Ho for his employers Associated Rediffusion/ ITV in partnership with Firmin, Oliver Postgate and his partner set up Smallfilms in a disused cow shed at Firmin's home in Blean, near Canterbury, Kent. Indeed, developing an awareness of how we unconsciously process events is central to life coaching philosophy and is often critical for achieving transformative change. This means that if we do not explore our frames of reference and understand our ingrained thought patterns, we remain at a disadvantage when we attempt to learn how to grow and change our habits. Importantly, these frames of reference are elicited and operate unconsciously. This worldview acts like a frame of reference, which affects how we interpret events, assign meaning to the things that happen to us, and interact with our environment (Mezirow, 1997). Transformative learning theory argues that humans hold a specific worldview informed by their experiences. You can learn more about these in our dedicated post on the benefits of life coaching, but here’s a quick summary of five dominant perspectives. There are many coaching philosophy theories about the mechanism through which life coaching delivers results (Williams, 2012). Life Coaching Philosophy: 5 Theories that Drive the Practice Likewise, life coaching often draws from the transpersonal psychology perspective to help clients achieve wholeness across their different selves or levels of consciousness (Williams, 2012). Transpersonal psychology is concerned with human wholeness and integration. This field of study includes theories and practices that explore self-actualization, and spirituality (Lajoie & Shapiro, 1992). Transpersonal psychology is a subfield of psychology that dares to tread (where few psychologists do) in the soul’s arena. Contributions of Transpersonal Psychology This attitude is intentional on the coach’s part and ensures that the coaching relationship functions as a safe and constructive space for the client to work on their goals. Coaches always accept clients as they are, viewing and treating them as inherently worthy and deserving of love (Williams, 2012). Life coaching also draws from humanistic psychology to adopt a foundation of unconditional positive regard in the coaching relationship. The emphasis of coaching is not on giving directives to the client as much as it is about understanding their goals. The takeaway of this for life coaches is that advice given is not prescriptive. In this practice, we place importance on the client’s perspective and emotions, rather than the psychologist’s opinions or directives. Humanistic psychology views human behavior from a whole-person perspective and attempts to understand and explain behavior from the individual’s perspective instead of the observer’s. The practice primarily has its roots in humanistic and transpersonal psychology (Williams, 2012). Life coaching has grown out of decades of research in social psychology, clinical psychology, and professional coaching. Life Coaching History: The Origin of Modern Coaching Life coaching also differs from mentorship and training, whereby a professional is paired with a more experienced professional, often in a workplace or industry setting. In contrast, life coaching is not therapy or counseling, which pairs a mental health professional with a client seeking guidance around mental wellness. These goals may center on several possible development areas, including relationships, career progression, creative pursuits, and more. To resolve this, a life coach will draw on approaches from psychology, counseling, sociology, and sometimes business to help individuals set and pursue personally meaningful goals. The impetus for seeking a life coach often comes when a person reaches a crossroads or feels stuck. It’s helping them to learn rather than teaching them.Ī life coach is someone to whom you formally turn when seeking guidance or advice regarding challenges, decisions, or questions in your life. What is Life Coaching (and What is it Not)?Ĭoaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. EE exposure for days to months induces functional and structural neuroplasticity. Published by Elsevier B.V.Īn enriched environment (EE) provides multi-dimensional stimuli to the brain. Taken together, these results suggest that the prefrontal cortex may play a role in the regulation of hippocampal cell proliferation.Ĭopyright © 2015. As the control animals underwent the same procedures and stressors and differed only in the single parameter working-memory-associated delay, the working-memory requirement seems to be the crucial factor for decreasing cell proliferation rates. Both the environmental enrichment and spatial-delayed alternation tasks decreased cell proliferation rates in the dentate gyrus compared to deprived housing and the control task in the T-maze. Next, the animals were assigned to four groups for different treatments in the following three days: housing under continued deprivation, environmental enrichment, a spatial-delayed alternation task in an automated T-maze that activates the prefrontal cortex by working-memory requirements or a control task in the automated T-maze differing only in the single parameter working-memory-associated delay. Wheel running was applied as a common stimulator of cell proliferation in CD1 mice reared under deprivation of natural environmental stimulation. We hypothesised that activation of the prefrontal cortex by environmental enrichment or a working-memory task would decrease previously enhanced cell proliferation rates. The aim of the present study was to obtain evidence for a potential role of the prefrontal cortex in the regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis. These circuits are presumably involved in the initial response of the animal to the enriched environment.ĭespite an increasing amount of evidence about the regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis on the local level, less attention has been paid to its systemic embedding in wider brain circuits. The data suggest that EE stimulates an initial strong increase in activation of multiple functional circuits. These regions include the claustrum, infralimbic cortex, hippocampus, amygdala and the hypothalamus. We found that there was a significant increase in FTL expression within particular morphologically identified neurons in a series of brain regions in the enriched group compared to control groups, indicating that multiple circuits were activated. We used fos-tau-lacZ (FTL) transgenic mice to examine changes in functional activation throughout the brain after a single exposure to EE. We were interested in understanding what regions of the brain are activated during the initial stages of EE. Animals exposed to EE have previously been shown to exhibit a variety of behavioural and structural alterations in the brain, including decreased stress, improved learning and memory, altered levels of immediate early genes and synaptic change in the visual cortex. One model for looking at experience-dependent changes is environmental enrichment (EE), which involves exposing animals to a complex novel environment. Storage of experience, including learning and memory, is thought to involve plasticity within pre-existing brain circuits. and tried to boot, but CPU LED was still red. only had the motherboard, CPU attached, cooler attached, cooler fan and fan pin attached, 1 stick of RAM in the DIMM_A1 slot, the graphic card attached, the 24-pin connector from the PSU (PowerSupply) to the motherboard, and the 8-pin cpu power connector from PSU to motherboard. I searched online in forums and youtube, and this was the information that I found, and tried: I did the bench test again, remove all the components, HDD, SDD, etc. Once I got all my goods and PC in Australia, I unpacked my pc and pressed the power button, the CPU_LED was solid red, and it would not start up, and it would not even POST. After my move from USA to Australia in 2020, my pc was transported in shipping freight sea container. Background: It is a ASUS sabertooth 990FX motherboard (ATX AMD). QUICK ANSWER: Removed the CPU (and cooler), then put it back in. My ASUS motherboard was showing the CPU_LED light as solid red. Sometimes a bad driver installation / version can cause that issue, so DDU-ing the drivers and clean installing may be needed, but you may as well check if there's a software cause first.Īs of 3, I had this same problem. One of those software may be trigger the GPU to not downclock. Left click that icon and it will list everything using the GPU. If the frequencies are high despite (what should be) low load, as I suspect, open Nvidia Control Panel and under the "Desktop" menu along the top bar, select Display GPU Activity Icon in the Notification Area. Run GPU-Z and look at the sensors tab to monitor GPU frequency, temp, and fan speed during this behaviour. But it heats up again a tiny bit, so on come the fans again. But the heat it is producing due to the low load is so little that the fans instantly bring it under the threshold temp, so the fans turn off. If it maintains a high clock speed, but is under low load, it will keep warming up to the point that the fans turn on. What you're seeing is probably a symptom of the GPU not downclocking itself properly. And that when you're just browsing web pages, the GPU is doing sufficiently little work that the temp will be low enough for the fans to stay off. So the fans will be on consistently, adjusting their exact speed depending on the exact temp. The idea is that if you're gaming, the GPU is always going to be under heavy load, so the fans come on and will stay on because the GPU is always above that temp. The fans turn off below a given temp, and turn on when that temp is reached. so i know this is just going to fail again so now im debating on either trying to borrow back my reflow equipment and reflow it, try and go for an RMA since the board is technically under warrant, or call it quits and pick up an asrock fatality or similar.Fans turning on and off like that are 'normal' in that it's behaviour caused by how they are meant to operate. It really sucks also that i just recently sold off all of my reflow equipment from my xbox/ps3 repair and modding days. Ive cleaned and replaced all that and just used some artic silver instead of pad on the nb. and they also had reflown the NB obviously poorly since it now again has a cracked solder ball lol. I pulled the heatsinks and to my disgust the thermal pad top and bottom were 2 short pieces overlapped to make them fit so a nasty contact there and then they tore a piece of the vrm pad and stuck it on the NB without removing the old. Well dont know if its good news or bad news.this board i bought was a sealed rma the owner just decided to build an intel setup while the board took forever to be returned so after pulling it all completely apart i realized that it would boot fine on the bench if i put my hand on the northbridge heatsink. the power supply is brand new cx750m so im sure its holding up and everything powers up fine just no post So looks like the cpu just decided to call it quits as far as what ive read but before i pick up another is there anything i ca try? ive reseated all of the power connectors cpu and ram. i get home this morning and plug it all back in and power it up and nothing, the system powers up but no signal output and after awhile of messing with it i realize the cpu led on the MB is solid no matter what i do. I powered it off and unplugged the system so my wife could vacuum with the outlet lol then left for work. today i swapped in two new wd blue drives since the much older pair had a failing drive (raid 0) and fully reinstalled and everything was great. i had it fsb overclocked to 4.5 and turboing to 4.8 with great temps (well below the recommended max) and the vcore at 1.49ish running great and stable in prime for over 3 hours with all the power saving features turned on. Built a cheap 6300 system a few weeks ago with a sabertooth motherboard and it has all been going great with my daughter almost constantly playing sims and fallout on it lol. REI (About $110 to $160 depending on size). If you are already paying this much, you might as well spring for the NeoAir Xlite. The two main pros of the STS Ultralight over the NeoAir Xlite are that 1) it packs down a lot smaller and 2) it is more comfortable for side sleeping. If you only go backpacking in summer and want a lightweight pad on a budget, then consider the Sea to Summit. If a few ounces matters, then you should be spending more for the NeoAir Xlite. I’d pay the extra amount for the insulated version. There is also the normal Klymit Static V, which weighs a few ounces less. Its R-value is 4.4, making it a great choice for cold sleepers or backpackers with less-than-ideal sleeping bags. However, the Klymit Static V Insulated is half the price and MUCH warmer. Yes, it weighs a heck of a lot more than the NeoAir Xlite. Its V chambers make it very comfortable to sleep on. The Klymit Static V Insulated is one of the most popular sleeping pads for backpacking. This is the minimum rating you need to be comfortable on a cold night. But, like the previous Big Agnes sleeping pad, it sleeps cold. If you don’t mind carrying the extra 8oz, you’ll be happy with the noise-less sleeping surface and tough design. However, it only costs about half the price. It doesn’t come close to the ultralight weight of the NeoAir Xlite. Here’s another sleeping pad by Big Agnes. It does cost more than the NeoAir Xlite, so you have to decide how important these features are for you.īudget Alternatives to the NeoAir XLite Big Agnes Air Core Ultra It is also more comfortable, especially for side-sleeping. On the plus side, the AXL is not nearly as crinkly as the NeoAir Xlite. Really, the rating is probably around 32F. No R-value is given but Big Agnes rates it to 15 degrees F. Compared to the Xlite, the AXL is very cold. The Xlite still seems the better choice of the two pads. The AXL by Big Agnes is one of the only sleeping pads available which is actually lighter than the NeoAir Xlite. Prices might change!Įven Lighter Alternative to the NeoAir XLite Big Agnes AXL Insulated Sleeping Pad Quick Comparison of NeoAir XLite Alternatives Product How much does it cost? Here are prices at time of writing. It isn’t as comfy if you are a side sleeper. It makes noise when you turn around on it.There are only a few complaints about the NeoAir XLite: But the NeoAir Xlite has a heat reflective material built into it which allows it to be much warmer. There is currently no sleeping pad on the market that delivers this much comfort and insulation per weight.įor ultralight backpacking, there aren’t really any competitors (at least that can deliver this level of comfort). There’s a reason that the NeoAir Xlite is so damn popular and people are willing to pay a high price for it. These competing sleeping pads range from the high-end and high-tech to budget sleeping pads that are surprisingly good for the cost. So, I’ve compiled some reviews of Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Xlite alternatives. I’m a firm believer that camping shouldn’t have to be expensive. But there are a lot of other nearly-as-good options which are much more affordable. Yes, it is very comfortable and lightweight. The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Xlite is one of the most popular sleeping pads for backpacking and camping.
Otherwise there are better places to spend your money and time. Takeaway: Worth picking up on sale if and only if you are a fan of turn-based-RPG-strategy-type games and want a change of pace. The matches will happen in turns, and we will get to injure our opponents many times. The players will once again lead a football team representing one of twelve races from the Warhammer world. By adding new races and putting in a better character builder - it doesn’t have to go as far as The Sims, it just needs more race and gender options - Blood Bowl 3 can catch up with the progressive steps that Blood Bowl’s original creator is taking. As head coach, its up to you to know your players strengths and set the plays in motion. In addition, the first trailers promise a lot of action and absurd humor. What I’m saying is, the current teams and the (lack of) customisation within them feels like the old Games Workshop in video game form. Blood Bowl is about more than just what happens during the game. It's worth noting that the same developers are still responsible for Blood Bowl 3, so we can be sure that the game is in the hands of experts. It's also great that the IP has not disappeared in the oblivion and will soon get another release.
